2011: Warrior

Otra pelicula de luchardor, zzzz. El a*o pasado  The Fighter, este a*o Warrior, que vendra el a*o que viene?
Esta es escrita y dirigida por Gavin O'Connor, el mismo director y guionista de la excelente Tumbleweeds, y sin todas las peliculas de luchadores son como esta, que todos los a*os nos den una nueva. La historia aunque puede ser predecible esta cargada de emociones y retos.

El guion es, a mi parecer, bastante elavorado. Aunque peca de ser predecible en cuanto a hechos, las emociones pueden caer de sorpresa, pues usa los momentos oportunos para todas y cada una de ellas, momentos en los que podemos tener la guardia un poco baja pues estamos concentrados en algo mas, que luego nos damos cuenta no tenia realmente gran protagonismo, mas que ser el contexto del momento. Insisto con el tema de las emociones con esta pelicula pues me parece que es lo principal, mas alla del luchardor y la cosa, la pelicula habla de una familia, de una relacion tensa entre hermanos, y de estos con su padre. El drama familiar esta muy presente, al igual que en muchos otros films de luchadores, sin embargo la historia no deja de ser original.

Lo poderoso del guion va acompa*ado de excelentes actuaciones, en especial Nick Nolte, quien desempe*a el papel del padre alcoholico recuperado, un papel que hace de manera magnifica con momentos brillantes, digno de su nominacion al Oscar. Luego le sigue un muy bien Tom Hardy quien a mi parecer desempe*a un papel secundario muy bien creado y ejecutado por el actor. Joel Edgerton, correcto.

No se puede hablar de Warrior sin aplaudir la direccion y las geniales escenas de peleas. Son impresionantemente buenas. Nada cliches, desarrollandose en tomas que pudieron ser las tipicas: slowmotions, sangre volando por doquier, etc. Una trabajo muy bien pensado y muy bien editado.

Hay heridas que realmente nunca sanaran, heridas emocionales que nos marcan y nos convierten en quienes somos. Estas mismas nos llevan a acciones que a su ves traen consigo unas consecuencias. Estas heridas siempre viviran en nosotros, pero seremos capaces de dejarlas a un lado y que nos dejes vivir sin ningun tipo de rencor? posiblemente no, somos humanos y el rencor es parte de nosotros. Al igual que el perdon. Warrior nos habla del dolor y del amor en un contexto de agresividad y maltrato, nos habla de oportunidades en lugares en los que ya estas no existen y de constancia y desicion, para poder tomar las desiciones acertadas en los momentos mas dificiles.

2011: We Need To Talk About Kevin

Cuando iba a ver está película, esperaba algo totalmente distinto. En mi cabeza, la trama e idea del film hacían una película de suspenso con un poco de terror muy buena. Pues bueno, luego de ver la primera escena, sabía que no tendría lo que esperaba.

La directora y guionista Lynne Ramsay adapta está historia a la gran pantalla, con sutileza y clase en cada escena. Es brillante lo que se logra con tan poco dialogo en la película, la brillantes de las tomas, unidas a la fotografía y las actuaciones hacen de ésta una película digna, en la que cada escena es algo distinto y te dice algo nuevo del personaje. Pero no solo te lo dice, te lo trasmite. Desesperación, impotencia, lastima, miedo, pena, etc.

En alguna parte leí que el trabajo de Ramsay como directora estaba muy sobrevalorado por el hecha de ser mujer, que si hubiera sido un hombre el que hubiera entregado el mismo trabajo la atención resivida seria mucho mayor, por la calidad del mismo. No recuerdo ahora donde lo leí, pero al momento no lo creí. Que el mundo aún sea tan sexista. Pero lo es. El trabajo de dirección es lo mejor de la película, y mira que decir eso de una película donde Tilda Swinton es la protagonista. Cada escena se mueve de una manera brillante, sabe que capturar y como capturarlo y te lo muestra por el tiempo exacto que lo puedes soportar. Cuando su intención es perturbarte no hace falta mas que dos tomas en completo silencio para que empieces a sentir un vacío. Muestra como con una buena dirección y un buen actor el dialogo puede faltar (algo que a mi me gusta pensar que no es posible ). A pesar de que el dialogo es sensacional, dicen justo lo necesario, de manera natural y nada teatral.

Tilda Swinton nos da una actuación como nos tiene acostumbrados, para mi la actriz más solvente de la industria del cine hoy día. Solo basta con ver su cara, sus ojos para que nos diga todo lo que el guión no tiene en palabras. El reparto lo completa John. C. Reilly quien está muy bien, pero su personaje no es profundizado y abordado de una manera que el como actor se pueda lucir, es una buena actuación. Ezra Miller tiene la mirada del monstruo, pero los ojos del cordero. Se ve la maldad pero no lo quieres creer. Su actuación es impecable y tiene momentos brillantes realmente, en los que en conjunto con Swinton entregan escenas de alto poder emocional.

La película no habla de un niño que hará un atentado. Habla de una madre que se siente responsable por ello. Una madre que siente que todo es su culpa, no de su hijo ni de la sociedad, de ella. Ella lo hizo y por eso debe pagar. Una mujer a la que ahora el mundo la señala.
